The first thing you should know about me is that I hate the cold. Ice cream is ok, but everything else that’s below freezing point makes me tired, depressed and generally irritated at the world. The reason you should know this is that this project will be going on during the winter. Which means it’s cold all the time. So unfortunately, I’ll probably be kind of annoyed during this whole thing. So, in advance, I apologize for that. I’ll try my best to be nice. Maybe buy a warm sweater to wear just for when I write blog posts.
Anyways, it’s not winter yet so I’ll stop bitching about the cold and tell you some other things about me. I tend to have love-hate-relationships with pretty much everything in my life, such as my guitar, the bus, my plant, my bed, school, computers and grass. Monday I love my plant and try everything to bring it back to life. I have poured liters and liters of water into the pot, even though it’s deader than Elvis Presley. Tuesday on the other hand, I hate the damn thing for dying even after my huge efforts to take care of it and I just want to throw it away. Of course I don’t, Wednesday I’ll love it again and miss it if I’d throw it out. That’s just how it works. Buses are great until they are 25 minutes late, grass is heavenly to just lie on until you have to cut it, guitars are so soothing as long as they sound like you want them to and computers are amazing until you get bored or they decide to launch a cryptic error-message and shut down.
Then of course there are things I have a 100 % loving relationship to. Like the sun. It’s warm, bright and makes plants grow. What’s not to like? Sleeping, body lotion, trees, books, candy, Harry Potter (the books, not the movies) and white furniture are some other things that I just love, never hate.
By now, I’ve realized that this presentation is kind of long and doesn’t say that much about me. So I’ll do a summary of “this-is-me”. My name is Magdalena, I have a mum and dad that I like and a little brother I’m not sure if I like. We live in a yellow house on the countryside outside Luleå. I like it, it’s close to the river and if I feel like it I can pat cows or chop down a tree, things I never do but unlike people living in the city, I could do it. I usually like school, especially mathematics and history, maybe two of the most traditionally boring subjects, but I love them. When I’m not in school I like to cook, run and write short stories. Although, I usually spend my free time studying or waste it on something stupid like watching crappy TV or thinking about cleaning my room. I love listening to music; old, new, popular or weird. I’ve recently installed an old record player in my room and enjoy lots of time listening to my parents’ old Beatles-records. Now I really don’t feel like writing anymore so I guess that’s it. Cheerio!
